NJ Consumers Alerted to Recall of Frozen Dessert Due to Undeclared Cashew

In an important announcement from the United States Food and Drug Administration, G.S. Federal officials said this recall has been initiated because the product contains undeclared cashew, which poses a significant health risk to individuals with cashew allergies.

The mislabeling issue involves the lid displaying "Nature's Promise" brand Cashewmilk Chocolate Almond Crunch Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert, while the carton was "Full Circle Market" brand Coconutmilk Chocolate Almond Crunch Frozen Dessert.

The ingredient list fails to mention cashews, creating a potential danger for those with cashew allergies or severe sensitivities.

The recalled product was distributed to various states, including Georgia, Massachusetts, and New York distribution centers. Retail stores in New York, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island received shipments of the affected product between April 18, 2024, and July 11, 2024.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled frozen dessert are urged not to consume it and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Those with cashew allergies risk severe or life-threatening reactions if they ingest the product.
