Police in Belleville took a woman in custody for stealing a package from the porch of a home in the city on Monday.
According to police, detectives arrested the 39-year-old female from the city of Newark for the theft that occurred on Dewitt on Friday afternon.
The woman was seen snatching the package of the porch then entering a vehicle that sped away from the address according to police.
Police say additional arrests are expected for the driver of the vehicle.
