Police in Newark's West Ward are looking into the motive being a stabbing incident that injured two victims inside a building in the city's West Ward on Thursday morning.
According to police, at approximately 2 a.m., police responded to 210 Sunset Avenue to investigate an injured person's reports.
Units arrived at the scene and found a firearm in the multi-family building's hallway and two victims suffering stab wounds at that location.
Police say both victims were transported to the hospital, suffering non-fatal injuries.
The motive for the stabbing is under an active investigation. Police have not officially reported an arrest.
