A male victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds who walked into University Hospital a short time ago has police investigating.
The man arrived at the hospital at around 9:15 p.m.reportedly suffering two gunshot wounds to the arms and two to the legs told hospital authorities that he was shot in the area of 18th Ave. and West End Ave.
Newark police converged on the West Ward neighborhood where they immediately setup a crime scene after locating evidence of a shooting that had occurred.
The man's injuries were not reported to by life threatening.
