Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to a much milder morning, with temperatures at 46 degrees in downtown Newark—an improvement from Tuesday’s chill.
Across the area, temperatures are slightly warmer, offering a brief reprieve from the colder mornings of recent weeks.
Good morning, and as we mark the final day of winter, don't rush to put away those coats and sweaters just yet.
While today will bring plenty of sunshine and a more comfortable high of 61 degrees, a light breeze may still add a slight chill to the air.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny, with a high near 61 as calm winds shift southeast at 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight, patchy fog is expected after 2 a.m., with increasing clouds and a chance of drizzling by early morning. The low will dip to around 44 degrees.
