My friends and family in Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to a pristine and beautiful Saturday morning, marking the unofficial start to summer.
With no precipitation on the radar and a gorgeous sunrise earlier—if you slept through it, you missed a visual treat—temperatures are comfortably set at around 67 degrees.
Although today is not as crystal clear as yesterday due to a bit of cloud cover, it remains an excellent day for outdoor activities.
The National Weather Service forecasts a mostly sunny day with a high near 83 degrees.
A calm wind this morning is expected to pick up slightly, becoming south at 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
While today and Sunday promise good weather, Monday, Memorial Day, may not be as pleasant.
Rain is moving in and is expected to dampen holiday plans. Residents should take advantage of the next two days to enjoy outdoor events.
Have a great day and an excellent weekend, New Jersey!
