Newark Store Worker Punched, Pepper-Sprayed in Robbery Incident

Newark Public Safety officials are actively searching for Ms. Shalaca Bramhan, 28, and Ms. Kisha Eutsey, 36, both of whom are wanted for questioning related to a robbery at the Family Dollar store on Clinton Avenue.AdThe incident, which occurred around 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024, escalated into violence.

According to the police, a female suspect attempted to leave the store with a bag full of items.

When a store worker intercepted her at the front door and secured the exit, a male accomplice outside tried to intervene.

He struck the worker with a closed fist in an attempt to free the female suspect, who then used pepper spray on the worker's face.

Following the assault, both suspects fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on Clinton Avenue.

The female suspect was described as having black hair and wearing a black leather jacket and a burgundy top.AdPolice said her accomplice was noted for his gray hat, blue hooded sweatshirt, yellow and black long-sleeve button-up shirt, and black jeans.

The Newark Police Department is urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Bramhan and Eutsey to come forward as part of the ongoing investigation into this violent crime.
