Police in Newark are investigating an overnight carjacking that had the suspects reportedly fire a shot at the victim.
The carjacking was reported at around midnight in the 200 block of Pomona Avenue in the city's South Ward when several men exited a vehicle armed with weapons and ordered the victim from the vehicle according to reports.
Police found one shell casing at the scene after one of the suspects fired a shot in the direction of the victim reports said.
The vehicle has only been described as a Mazda Z with a reported NJ license plate number "W10EUC".
The suspects are reportedly occupying a "red" colored Range Rover that is possibly connected to another felony.
There were no physical injuries reported.
