An overnight shooting in Newark sent two people to the hospital and police searching for the suspect responsible for the crime.
The shooting occurred at around 10:30 p.m. in the area of 14th Avenue and South 6th Street sending police to the scene where they found a male victim suffering a non-life threatening gunshot injury to the arm.
Shortly before the first victim's transport to the hospital, officials at University Hospital informed police that a male victim entered the hospital suffering multiple gunshot injuries.
Hospital officials immediately admitted the victim into surgery where he is now reportedly in critical condition.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation by the Newark Police Department.
