Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

The Newark and North Jersey region is experiencing a welcome reprieve from the biting cold, with temperatures expected to climb to 40 degrees today—the warmest it's been in over two weeks.

Weather

As of this morning, it’s 33 degrees and cloudy. It's still cold but far less punishing than in recent days.

For those headed to morning worship or other activities, it will feel chilly but notably more bearable compared to the freezing conditions of late.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 41 degrees.

Wind chill values will make it feel between 20 and 30 degrees, with a west wind of 8 to 14 mph, gusting up to 26 mph.

Tonight, temperatures will dip back to around 25 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.

While it’s a slight warm-up, you'll still need your coat to stay comfortable. Enjoy this mild Sunday in New Jersey!
