A public school alternative education program that's designed to serve young people who have dropped out of school and who are looking to re-enroll in school is asking the public's assistance in changing it's name.
According to school officials, the school is seeking to change the school's name but have been blocked by a policy that states that school officials and the community must first have a petition signed by 1000 Newark residents.
