Residents in Newark and the North Jersey region are keeping a close watch as a major winter storm approaches, expected to hit late Saturday into early Sunday.
The looming question from my friends and family is whether the area will be blanketed in heavy snow or spared with lighter frozen precipitation.
The National Weather Service (NWS) is monitoring the storm's trajectory, providing updated forecasts on the potential snowfall.
Current predictions indicate that Newark could see about 2-4 inches of snow, but meteorologists are continuously tracking the storm's progress as it nears our region.
In the meantime, Thursday's weather offers a mix of conditions. The day will start cloudy but will gradually clear up, reaching a high near 43 degrees.
A northwest wind will blow at 5 to 15 mph, with gusts possibly reaching as high as 25 mph.
Thursday night is expected to be mostly clear, with a low of around 24 degrees and wind chill values dropping between 15 and 20 degrees.
Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest forecasts and prepare for the weekend's winter weather.
