Newark Public Safety Seeks Public's Help Identifying Wallet Theft Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a wallet theft from a parked vehicle on June 24. VaccineAccording to Director Fragé, the incident took place at approximately 4:15 p.m. in the 70 block of Ferry Street.

Surveillance video captured the suspect entering the victim’s parked vehicle.

Upon returning to her car, the owner discovered that her vehicle had been ransacked and her wallet was missing.

Subsequently, the victim’s credit and debit cards were used at a fast food restaurant and a deli.
