Newark residents can expect a dry start this morning, with temperatures hovering around a chilly 35 degrees.
However, as clouds continue to build, a clipper system is expected to move in by the afternoon, potentially making the evening commute slick and rainy.
According to the National Weather Service, the system may also bring light snow to nearby areas like Sussex County, Morristown, and Haledon.
Today’s forecast predicts a mix of snow showers before 10 a.m., transitioning to rain by midday, and a combination of rain and snow showers extending into the evening.
Conditions will worsen overnight as temperatures dip to around 30 degrees. Snowfall will likely become heavier after 11 p.m., affecting wind chill and making outdoor conditions chilly.
