Authorities in Newark request the public’s help locating the vehicle used in an armed robbery on Sunday, December 10, 2023.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 6:51 a.m., a man walking in the 100 block of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard was approached by a male who brandished a handgun and robbed him of his personal belongings.
The suspect fled into a white 2017 Toyota Highlander bearing NJ Registration No. C18KSF, officials said.
According to officials, the suspect vehicle had been reported stolen out of Irvington on December 9, 2023.
Officials stated that detectives investigating this incident are requesting the public’s help to quickly locate the vehicle and identify the suspect, described as 5’10” tall, approximately 170 pounds, with a light complexion, and wearing all-black clothing and a face mask.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of this stolen suspect vehicle or the identity of the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
