Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the male suspect regarding an incident of harassment that occurred on Thursday, March 13.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that at approximately 10:10 p.m., an Uber driver picked up two passengers at Mulberry Street and Market Street.
When the driver learned that the passengers wanted to go into New York City, he informed them that he could not provide the ride, Newark Police said.
According to Newark officials, a verbal altercation ensued with obscenities, and one suspect spat in the direction of the driver.

The victim reported that the suspect’s bodily fluids landed in his eye, Newark authorities stated. Both passengers fled the scene.
Newark officials say detectives investigating this incident describe one of the suspects as wearing a red New Jersey Devils jersey, black hat, and gray pants.
