Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with identifying the suspect, who attacked a victim with a baseball bat on March 24.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said police responded to the aggravated assault, which occurred at approximately 6 a.m. when the victim was waiting for the bus at Broad and Murray Streets.
Officials said the suspect and another male approached the victim, asking him did he beat up his sister.
They then asked him to show identification, and when he did, the suspects started striking the victim with the baseball bat and a stick, according to officials.
Officials stated the suspect, who has a thin build and light complexion, was wearing a purple skull cap, army fatigue style coat, purple hooded sweatshirt, and green jeans and sneakers with purple, black, and white colors.
