Authorities in Newark seek the public’s help in identifying the male, who is a suspect in an aggravated assault shooting on February 19.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. stated that at approximately 2:24 p.m., the shot spotter detection system picked up gunfire in the 100 block of Stuyvesant Avenue.

Police Officers responded and located two .45 caliber shell casings in a parking lot and a third at the entrance.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
