Newark Police Seeks Help Identifying Robbery Suspects

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the male suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred on Sunday, September 1.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 3:20 a.m., police patrolling the 400 block of 18th Avenue were flagged down by a man who reported that he had been robbed by three male suspects.

The victim entered a convenience store in the area before being approached by one of the suspects, who grabbed him and demanded his money, officials stated.

According to officials, the suspects took the victim’s wallet, containing his debit card and other personal belongings, while physically assaulting him.

Detectives investigating this incident describe suspect #1 as a male wearing a white shirt, black sweatpants, black sneakers, and a black book bag, officials say.

Suspect #2 is described as wearing a blue shirt with white lettering on the back, red shorts, and Croc sandals, authorities say.

Officials said suspect #3 was wearing a white shirt, beige or light brown pants, white and black sneakers, and a black book bag.
