Newark Police Seeking Woman for Questioning in Central Ward Shooting Incident

Newark police are actively seeking Amber Lewis, 33, for questioning in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on August 18. 

 

The incident took place around 12:14 a.m. at the intersection of West Kinney Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard AdAccording to police, the victim had parked his car in the 100 block of West Kinney Street and was walking toward Martin Luther King Boulevard when he passed three males and heard several gunshots.

The victim was struck in the leg by one of the bullets.

Amber Lewis is described as a Black female, 5'6" tall, weighing 142 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
