Newark police are on the hunt for a suspect involved in an armed confrontation at a North Ward gas station on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, officers responded to an emergency call at 1285 McCarter Highway at approximately 8:10 p.m.
Witnesses at the scene described a male suspect dressed in dark clothing who brandished a firearm and pointed it at individuals at the station but did not discharge the weapon or steal any proceeds.
Authorities stated that the suspect fled southbound on McCarter Highway and remains at large.
Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported from the incident.
