Newark Police are searching for a male suspect involved in the theft of a cell phone at a supermarket in the Ironbound section on August 18.
According to Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé, the victim left her cell phone in a shopping basket after exiting Seabra’s Supermarket, located on the 200 block of Lafayette Street.
Surveillance footage captured the suspect taking the phone and placing it in his pocket around 1 p.m.
