Newark Police Seek Help Identifying Shooting Suspect

Newark Public Safety Department officials seek the public’s assistance in identifying the above-pictured male suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred on Saturday, July 29.

At approximately 3:43 p.m., police responded to North Munn Avenue near Tremont Avenue on a call of shots fired.

A male suspect had allegedly discharged a handgun several times.

According to officials, the suspect was wearing a blue and black hooded sweater, black pants, a black ski mask, and white sneakers.

The Newark Police Department (NPD) urges anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
