Newark Police Search for Suspect Connected to Burglary

Newark Police requests the public's help in identifying a male in connection with a burglary that occurred on Thursday, February 17.

According to police officials, just before 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Walnut Street on a call of a burglary. 

Police said that a victim reported that her apartment had been broken into between the hours of 8:45 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. that day and that $8,000.00 in cash was stolen.

According to police, Detectives investigating this incident obtained surveillance footage showing the male suspect, who was driving a gold 2008 to 2010 Honda Accord with tinted windows. 

Detectives seek the public's help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of the investigation.
