Newark Police are investigating a carjacking incident reported in the city's South Ward on Saturday evening.
Authorities have issued a "be on the lookout" alert for a black sedan, believed to have been carjacked around 6 p.m. from the 80s block of Ingraham Street.
The vehicle in question reportedly has Maryland license plates numbered "2FA4938."
According to initial reports, no serious injuries occurred during the incident.
It remains uncertain whether armed suspects executed the carjacking or if it was a strong-arm robbery.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing as Newark officials work to track down the vehicle and those responsible for the alleged carjacking.
