Authorities are investigating a crash that left several people injured in Newark early Sunday morning.
The collision occurred around 1:35 a.m. near the intersection of Orange Street and 1st Street.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a crash and found two vehicles involved in the wreck.
According to officials, three individuals were transported to University Hospital for treatment, with one person suffering serious injuries.
The occupants of the second vehicle reportedly fled the scene before authorities arrived. Investigators have since determined that the car was stolen.
Newark police have launched an active investigation into the incident.
