In early September the Atlantic City Police Department, Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, and Atlantic County HIDTA Task Force initiated an investigation into the distribution of narcotics on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
This investigation was conducted over a period of three days at various times of the day and night.
According to Atlantic City officials, at the conclusion of the investigation ten individuals were charged with various narcotic related offenses to include: narcotics possession, narcotics distribution, narcotics distribution within 500 feet of a public zone, the unlawful possession of a firearm, and the unlawful possession of hollow point ammunition.
Officials say, in addition to the above charges, the State will be applying for a Drug Offender Restraining Order (DORO) against these individuals pertaining to the Atlantic City Boardwalk and surrounding areas.
Seized pursuant to this investigation were various quantities of suspected cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, over 11 lbs. of marijuana, and a loaded .22 caliber handgun containing hollow point bullets.
The following were charged pursuant to the investigation:
