An overnight stabbing that occurred near a park in Newark's North Ward is under investigation by police.
The incident was reported on Branch Brook Park Drive just before 9 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found the victims suffering a non-fatal wound to the back.
EMS transported the man to University Hospital where doctors treated him for his injuries.
The motive for the stabbing is under investigation by the Essex County Sheriff's Office.
