Police in Newark reported no injuries in a commercial armed robbery in Newark's North Ward.
The Sunday night incident happened around 8:25 p.m. at the Exxon gas station located in the 1400 block of McCarter Highway.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a black male suspect approached an employee armed with a gun and demanded proceeds.
The suspect took an unknown amount of cash before running from the scene toward Mount Pleasant Avenue.
Police say the suspect wore all black with red writing on the side of his sweat pants and a sweatshirt.
The suspect is considered armed, dangerous and is at large.
