Newark North Ward Burglary Suspect Sought by Police

A man wanted in connection with a burglary that occurred in the Newark's North Ward has police investigating.

According to Newark Police officials, the incident happened on March 20th, 2018 at approximately 5:45 p.m., where 2nd Precinct officers responded to a residence in the 100-block of Mt. Prospect Avenue on a burglary call.

Police say, upon officers arrival at the scene, they observed a home broken into and the victim’s cash and personal property removed from the residence.

Authorities described the suspect as a light complexioned male, who is approximately 5’ 5” to 5’ 8” tall and weighs about 180 to 195 lbs.

The suspect wore a blue hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers police said.

Police say the investigation remains active and ongoing.
