An overnight armed robbery reported in Newark's North Ward is under investigation.
According to reports, Belleville Police contacted NPD after a person approached officers stating that he was robbed by a male suspect near the South Franklin Street Wells Fargo shortly before 12:30 a.m.
Officers from the Newark's 2nd Precinct arrived to take a report from the victim.
There was no quick description available or no reports of physical injuries.
