Newark and the surrounding North Jersey region are experiencing a chilly midweek. Wednesday morning, temperatures started at 44 degrees, a significant drop from the previous day.The National Weather Service advises locals to don heavier jackets as clear morning skies are set to give way to cloudiness and rain by the afternoon.
Today’s weather includes an expected rainfall starting after 4 p.m., accompanied by areas of fog, signaling a damp commute home for many.
Temperatures will hover near 50 degrees, with a light south breeze picking up in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation stands high at 90%.
Tonight, rain will continue until around 1 a.m., with fog expected to clear before 10 p.m. The night will cool down to a low of around 37 degrees.
