A Newark native shared the stage with Humberto "Tito" Nieves a Latin vocal star who became one of the leading Salsa singers of the 1980s and the early 1990s.
The star-studded 33rd Annual Salsa Festival hosted at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn was produced by Adam Torres Productions who is the same Producer that hosts the SoulFrito Festival.
**Grizel Del Valle** a 2013 Broadcast Television Production graduate of **Arts High School in Newark** was brought out on stage as a surprise by Nieves to take part in singing Celia Cruz's "Usted Abuso".
Del Valle, the only female performer on stage for the evening, is among a new generation of artists that will represent the future of Latin music.
