Authorities have arrested 1,592 individuals, recovered 95 guns, confiscated 15,085 decks of heroin, 5,497 vials of cocaine, 2,188.3 bags plastic bags of marijuana and 1,084 assorted pills since the April 21st, 2017 inception of an ongoing citywide narcotics and guns operation.
The operation, which was created in response to citizen complaints, has resulted in the removal of a total of $402,176.00 in street value drugs and $135,856.81 confiscated from drug sales. Since April, police arrested 619 individuals on CDS-related charges and 592 for outstanding warrants.
According to police, from October 16th to October 22nd, police arrested 36 individuals, confiscated 92 decks of heroin, 166 vials of cocaine, 27 plastic bags of marijuana and 19 pills. Police also confiscated $1,483.65 in proceeds from drug sales. The narcotics confiscated last week have a street value of $3,310.00.
Included in last week’s arrests are 24 individuals apprehended for Contempt of Court on outstanding warrants, 11 narcotics-related arrests and others arrested for CDS Possession, CDS Distribution or Wandering to Purchase CDS. Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
