Police in Newark issued a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Altamir Mayweathers, 18, of Newark, who is being sought for a theft that occurred on Thursday, September 24th.
According to police, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to Mercer and Lincoln streets on a call of a theft.
A man had arrived in the area after agreeing to sell a dirt bike to a patron he met online.
The suspect, Mayweathers, took the dirt bike for a test drive without returning to the area where the victim remained waiting.
Detectives investigating this incident have identified Altamir Mayweathers as a suspect in this incident.
He is described as 6-ft. tall and 150 pounds. He has a medium brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Oscar Miles Housing Complex.
