Newark Public Safety officials are actively seeking the public's assistance to locate 28-year-old Johnny C. Vallejo-Melendez, who is wanted for questioning in relation to a shooting incident that occurred on Thursday, November 2.
According to a statement released by Newark Police officials, the incident took place in the 600 block of N. 7th Street.
Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries from this event.
Detectives involved in the investigation of this shooting believe that Vallejo-Melendez may hold critical information.Director Fragé is calling upon the community for support, urging anyone with knowledge about Vallejo-Melendez's whereabouts to come forward.
Members of the public can provide information anonymously through the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
It is emphasized that all tips received through the Crime Stoppers line remain confidential. Additionally, providing crucial information may lead to a reward, further incentivizing community members to assist in this critical matter.
