Authorities announced that a 33-year-old Newark man accused of running down a woman with a car in New Brunswick and shooting two others weeks apart had been indicted.
Demetrius Lee faces counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons charges. He is being held in the Middlesex County jail on $500,000 bail.
According to officials, on Aug. 9th, Lee reportedly ran over a 37-year-old woman with a vehicle in the area of at Throop Avenue and Delavan Street.
Two weeks later Lee allegedly opened fire on a 23-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man at the same location.
Authorities do not believe the two incidents are connected.
