Police announced the arrest of a 26-year-old Newark man allegedly accused of several motor vehicle burglaries in Clark.
According to Detective Alex Yanes, Bilal A. Cureton was charged with six counts of burglary to a motor vehicle in connection with the early morning May 1st rash of motor vehicle burglaries in the township.
Cureton's bail was set at $90,000 dollars. He is currently at the Union County Jail after being arrested in Westfield on May 22nd on similar charges.
“Clark Police Department will diligently investigate every burglary but we ask that residents help us and their neighbors by keeping their car doors locked and not leave valuables in your car in plain sight. This will make the Township as a whole a lot less desirable to those who wish to commit these types of property crimes”
