Police in Newark are reporting the arrest reporting arrest of Newark resident Mr. Chris Rosado, for possession of a pellet gun after police respond to a tip.
On September 8th, at approximately 9:38 pm, a tipster reported seeing two men, one of them armed with a gun, in a Honda parked on Austin Street between Parkhurst and Murray streets.
When police arrived, they observed the car’s doors open and the driver, Rosado in possesion of a gun.
Police immediately arrested Rosado after which the officers determined that the weapon was a fully loaded pellet gun.
The passenger was allowed to leave after he was checked.
Police charged Rosado, 20, with possession of a weapon.
Rosado is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
