Officials announced the arrest of Mr. Rasheed T. Brown, 25, of Newark, for making threats against a police officer Saturday.
According to police, at approximately 5 p.m., officers of the 4th Precinct arrested a male suspect in the 100-block of Eastern Parkway on a separate incident.
Police said Mr. Rasheed T. Brown was in the area during the arrest and verbally threatened the life of one of the police officers present.
Police issued a warrant for Mr. Brown’s arrest then took him into custody today without incident.
Police charged Mr. Brown with Terroristic Threats.
This charge is merely an accusation.
Mr. Brown is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
