Newark Ironbound Stabbing Under Investigation

Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in a stabbing that occurred in Newark’s Ironbound section following an investigation into a violent altercation, according to a statement released by the Newark Police Department.  

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man who allegedly stabbed a victim attempting to break up a fight on February 17. 

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. when the victim had just left Nuestra Casa Bar & Restaurant. 

The victim saw a friend engaged in a fight at the intersection of Ferry and Van Buren Streets and attempted to intervene.

Amid the scuffle, the suspect stabbed him in the arm before fleeing westbound on Ferry Street alongside three other individuals.  

Authorities have released an image of the suspect and are urging anyone with information regarding his identity to come forward.

All tips remain anonymous and confidential, and information that leads to an arrest could result in a reward.
