Newark Police are urgently calling for the public's assistance to identify a suspect involved in a stabbing incident that occurred early Tuesday, December 19.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Ferry Street. Police were summoned following reports of a stabbing.Upon arrival, officers found a man who had suffered a stab wound to the head during a physical altercation, which had escalated from a verbal dispute inside a nearby bar.
The victim was immediately rushed to University Hospital and is currently reported to be in stable condition.
Detectives working on the case have emphasized the importance of public assistance in locating the suspect. He was last seen heading west on Ferry Street.
