Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Eugene Venable announced today that the Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating a fatal shooting.
Moses E. Beasley, 26, of Newark was fatally shot last night in the 200 block of 14th Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 pm. Beasley was pronounced dead at 8:09 pm.
The investigation is active and ongoing. At this time no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
