A fast moving apartment fire that occurred in a senior building in the city's downtown sent firefighters to the scene early this morning.
Fire broke out on the 2nd floor of the 8-story building shortly 4:30 a.m. located at 1060 Broad Street sending crews to the scene where the blaze was contained to the apartment.
One person, reported to be an occupant of the apartment, was taken to University Hospital for smoke inhalation and is being investigated according to reports. There were no other injuries reported.
The fire has been deemed suspicious.
