Firefighters in Newark made fast work out of a fighter that ignited a truck in a section of the city on Thursday.
Fire broke out inside the engine compartment of a large truck near the Pavilion Apartments located at 138 Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Crews arrived and stretched a line after finding flames coming from the truck.
After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters searched the vehicle for trapped and injured occupants, returning negative.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
