Newark Firefighters made fast work out of a fire that broke out inside a townhouse in a section of Newark Monday evening.
The fast-moving fire broke out in the 700 block of Hunterdon Street about a block from the border of Newark's Central and South Ward just before 8 p.m.
Crews arrived at the scene and found fire inside the top floor of a townhouse with heavy snow creating blizzard-like conditions.
Officials said firefighters stretched two lines to get water on the fire then declared it under control in under 30 minutes.
A search of the home resulted in no trapped on injured occupants and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Newark Fire Department.
