Newark Fire officials are reporting that firefighters extinguished a fire at Troy Chemical Company, located at 1 Avenue L, today.
According to officials, just after 1:10 p.m., firefighters responded to the building and located a fire, which was extinguished with dry chemical and a coat of foam.
No injuries have been reported.
The fire was considered under control at 1:53 p.m.
The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation by the Newark Department of Public Safety Arson Squad.
