Newark firefighters were called into action overnight night as they tackled a fierce house fire that erupted at 37 Hansbury Avenue.
The fire ignited shortly before 12:45 a.m., prompting a quick response from the city's firefighters.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters were met with flames igniting the two-and-a-half-story siding-framed home. All occupants had safely evacuated the building prior to the firefighters' arrival.
Crews quickly stretched as many as four lines to combat the stubborn blaze.
Their efforts eventually brought the fire under control, although they continued to work on extinguishing hotspots inside the structure well into the early hours of the morning.
While the fire's cause remains under investigation, there were no reports of serious injuries resulting from the incident.
