A Newark man has been arrested in connection with a string of commercial burglaries across northern and central New Jersey, targeting multiple Dunkin’ Donuts locations over a two-month period.

According to a statement released by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, 24-year-old Enajaim E. Bowman was taken into custody following a coordinated investigation involving several law enforcement agencies.

Authorities say that from December 2024 through January 2025, Bowman was linked to 14 burglaries and one attempted burglary at Dunkin’ Donuts stores in Bergen, Middlesex, Morris, and Union counties.

Investigators determined that the suspect forcibly entered the stores during overnight hours, prying open doors and windows to gain access.

Once inside, he allegedly targeted cash registers, safes, and office areas, stealing thousands of dollars in cash and causing significant property damage.

Detectives with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Crime Reduction Unit worked alongside local law enforcement in multiple jurisdictions to analyze surveillance footage and connect the break-ins.

The investigation ultimately led to Bowman’s identification as the suspect.

The burglaries resulted in over $18,000 in stolen cash and gift cards, while damages to the businesses were estimated at $10,000.

Some of the hardest-hit locations included Edison, Hackensack, Lodi, and Paramus, among others.

On February 11, 2025, Bowman was formally charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.

Authorities say he surrendered to law enforcement on February 25, 2025, and was taken into custody without incident.

He was later remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a court appearance in Hackensack.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate whether Bowman may be connected to additional commercial burglaries in the region.
