Newark police are asking for the public’s help in locating Tyteyonna Stamps, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that took place earlier this week.
According to a statement released by the Newark Police Department, investigators are looking to speak with Stamps regarding an aggravated assault shooting that occurred on February 13, 2025.
Officers responded to the 50 block of Whitney Street around 12:37 a.m. after the city's ShotSpotter detection system alerted them to multiple gunshots in the area.
Upon arrival, police canvassed the scene and discovered five 9mm shell casings in the street.
Stamps was reportedly present at the location when the shooting occurred, though her exact involvement remains under investigation.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on Stamps’ whereabouts to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
Tips can be provided anonymously and may be eligible for a reward.
